DUOS & SOLOS SERIES

In February and May 2010 Ensemble Amorpha presented a programme of Duos/Solos, classical, modern and new. Featuring the virtuosity of core Ensemble Amorpha members the evenings included arrangements of Bach by students of the Junior Trinity College of Music, UK premieres by Luke Styles, Evangelia Rigaki and Roberto Rusconi, alongside works by modern masters Schnittke, Holliger, Carter, Rebecca Clarke and Poulenc.

"I really enjoyed the project and it has really encouraged me to do future composition and arranging projects. It was great to have a workshop with professional musicians and it was amazing to think that they were going to play my work. It was the first time that I came into contact with bass clarinets and I would now love to learn how to play one myself. The whole experience was really inspirational and I would love to be involved in another." Ellie Smit - Junior Trinity
